Quality Assured Services, Inc. (QAS) has introduced its VADWatch program for hospitals- the efficient way to treat VAD patients in the residential setting.


VADWatch provides:

  • All external VAD equipment
  • All replacement VAD items (filters, batteries)
  • All skin care items for driveline sites
  • All insurance adjudication for VAD outpatients
  • All registrations for VAD patients with local power and EMS units

And, now QAS is introducing VADWatch™ ,the first remote monitoring service for VAD patients in the US.

What is VADWatch?

Remote monitoring for VAD patients on indicators like:

  • Weight
  • Temperature
  • Blood Pressure
  • INR

Assessment/Education for VAD patients on protocols like:

  • Infection (maintenance of driveline sites)
  • Nutrition (maintenance of weight gains/losses and healthy nutrition)
  • Anticoagulation (maintenance of INR and optimum time-in-range)
  • Neurological (assessment of indicators for T.I.A., etc.)

How does VADWatch work?

  • Remote monitoring devices placed in the patient's home
  • Communications established to Rapid Relay, our clinical data repository
  • Nurses, trained in cardiac treatment, monitor indicators
  • Secure website for immediate 24/7 access to VAD patient info by hospital staff
  • Out-of-range issues immediately reported to the physician and VAD coordinators
